Peck Lake Park
Peck Lake in Stuart, FL offers a tranquil look at Florida plants and wildlife. Peck Lake is a beautiful location that requires a boat to access from the Intracoastal and also has a secluded beach located within the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge. At one time this area was an inlet. Sand deposits entirely separated the ocean from the Intracoastal Waterway. This created the perfect anchorage on the Intracoastal side. Best to pack a Lunch or have us Cater. Make sure to pack plenty of Sunscreen and Beach Towels. Suggested Charter time is 4 to 5 Hours.
Jupiter Island, Hobe Sound Tour to Jupiter Inlet
We love this tour. Many of our Guests use this as a “Dock & Dine” Experience. At the Jupiter Inlet there is an Amazing View of the Jupiter Lighthouse. The waters in Jupiter are beautiful Turquoise with many Sandbars along the way to stop for a swim. Perfect for a Picnic Cruise or to stop at one of many Waterfront restaurants including 1000 North, another one of our Favorites! Suggested Charter time is 6 Hours.
North Fork of the Saint Lucie River Aquatic Preserve
The North Fork of the Saint Lucie River was designated as an aquatic preserve in 1972. The aquatic preserve is bounded on the north by Midway Road in White City. The southern preserve boundary extends from Coconut Point in Stuart to Jenkins Point in Palm City just west of the Roosevelt Bridge. The preserve is approximately 16 miles long through the natural riverbends. The river supports a variety of federally protected and state-protected species such as Alligators, Manatees, nesting Wood Storks, little Blue Herons and Opossum Pipefishes. The river is especially important habitat for juvenile phases of commercially important species such as Blue Crabs, Snook, Snapper, Drum and Shrimp. It is part of “Save our Rivers” Program. We suggest you pack a Lunch or we can Cater from the TideHouse Restaurant or Sailor’s Return. Bring your camera’s and stay alert. Suggested Charter time is 3 to 4 Hours.
South Fork of the Saint Lucie River
The South Fork of the Saint Lucie River begins at Bessy Point, south of Stuart, where the Saint Lucie River splits into two branches. The South Fork is also the Okeechobee Waterway, which leads to Lake Okeechobee through a series of Locks. The river is raw natural Florida. The Saint Lucie River and Saint Lucie Estuary are an “ecological jewel” of the Treasure Coast, central to the well-being of the surrounding communities. The river is part of the larger Indian River Lagoon system, the most diverse estuarine environment in North America with more than 4,000 plant and animal species, including Manatees, Oysters, Dolphins, Sea Turtles and Seahorses. We cruise south to The Lost River. Rumor has it that parts of Casablanca were filmed in this river. We head to Kanner Highway than back to the South Fork of the Saint Lucie River then under I-95 and The Florida Turnpike to the First Lock. We then make our return trip to Safe Harbors. Suggested Charter time is 3 to 4 Hours.
